Nadia El-Tawil

Prior to joining Compass in 2011, Ms. El-Tawil worked as part of the Corporate Strategy Team at Orascom Telecom Holding where she was instrumental in developing the Group’s transformation strategy, aligning subsidiary and group targets and exploring new revenue sources for the Group. Ms. El-Tawil assisted in the development and implementation of Group-wide cost reduction program to save USD 1 billion across the Group by 2015. In 2010, Ms. El-Tawil worked alongside Oliver Wyman to develop Orascom Telecom Algerie’s (OTA) transformation strategy to improve the company’s operating, market and financial performance. MS. El Tawil earned her Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Dalhousie University in 2009.

Sarah El Shahed

Prior to joining Compass, Ms. Sarah worked at Pharos Holding, where she played a vital role in setting up the asset management division and raised over USD 100 million in the first year of operation. She aided in setting up Compass Asset Management including operational functions and pitch to prospective clients and has been a dynamic contributor to the consortium that managed the acquisition of the Tenth of Ramadan for Pharmaceuticals Industries and Diagnostics Reagents (Rameda); in 2012 Ms. El Shahed has also worked as part of the team that managed the acquisition of 51% of Beltone Information Technology and minority stake in Beltone Financial Holding. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the American University in Cairo in 2008.

Ahmed Hussein

Ahmed Joined compass in 2018 bringing more than 8 years of experience in the Banking Treasury, Dealing and Asset Management fields. Ahmed held various managerial posts in the Arab Bank Treasury Department, where he headed the Foreign Exchange, Capital & Fixed Income and Sales Desks. Ahmed was nominated by the Bank’s top executive management as a candidate in the Arab Bank Global first liner’s Program and selected to be the treasurer successor, where he partook in the Bank’s Management Committee, Asset & Liability Committee and strategy formulation. He was also inducted in the Central Bank of Egypt’s Future Leaders Initiative. He is a certified ACI dealer and holds a BA in Finance (2009) and Master of Business Administration with concentration in Finance (2013) both from the American University in Cairo.

Fady Rafaat

Fady joined Compass in 2018. Previously he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at CI Capital Holding where he worked on several buy-side and sell-side Merger & Acquisition and Equity Capital Markets transactions across various industries. Fady was an adviser to CI Capital on its EGP 1.7bn Initial Public Offering to Dr. Oetker, a leading German F&B Player, on the acquisition of Tag El Melouk, one of the top Egyptian F&B players. Raafat holds an BSc in Finance, Accounting and Management from the University of Nottingham (2013) and a MSc in Finance from Hult International Business School (2014).

Kareem Zenhom

Kareem joined Compass in 2017 as part of the PE team. Prior to Compass, he worked as a Senior Consultant at PwC’s Risk Assurance Services department, where he was involved in organizational restructuring, profitability analysis and internal audit projects. Kareem holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Oxford Brookes University (2014).

Ahmed El Kharbotly

Prior to joining Compass. El Kharbotly was an investment banking analyst at Akanar Partners, a dedicated corporate finance and M&A advisory firm. He also worked at Pharos Holding as an equity research analyst covering the F&B sector. He also worked as a capex and opex analyst at Coca Cola Atlantic Industries. El Kharbotly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo (2015).

Ramy Hanna

Ramy Hanna joined Compass in 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Finance from McGill University in Canada (2017).

Mahmoud Amer

Prior to joining Compass in 2019, Mr. Amer worked as an Associate Banker at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) were he led the bank’s SME transactions in Egypt. Previously, he was a Senior Associate in the Investment Banking team of Arqaam Capital were he advised clients across the region on M&A, debt and equity raising transactions. Mr. Amer started his career in Akanar Partners as an Analyst where he worked on advisory assignments across a number of sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy & Biotechnology from the German University in Cairo and a Master’s degree in International Business from Hult International Business School in San Francisco.
