4 May 2021 — Compass, through its M&A advisory arm, is pleased to announce that it has served as the buy-side advisor in Intro Group’s acquisition of BariQ for EGP570 million.

Founded by Raya Holding in 2011, BariQ is specialized in recycling post-consumer plastic packaging and producing Food Grade and non-food grade Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (RPET), Recycled High Density Polyethylene (RHDPE) and Recycled Polypropylene (RPP). BariQ is an Egyptian joint stock company with its manufacturing facility located in West Cairo’s 6th of October Industrial Area,

Intro Group is a private, Egyptian conglomerate. It is comprised of a diverse group of companies in various fields which include but are not limited to, Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Renewable Energy and Waste Management and Resource Recovery. Through its acquisition of Bariq Intro is looking to strengthen its presence in the green economy. The company fits well with its Waste Management and Resource Recovery business.
